Clinical informatics is the
process of converting data to accessible and actionable information
that enables improvements in the effectiveness, quality and value of the services. Outcomes
informed care makes use of clinical informatics to provide clinicians with continuous feedback
from their patients self-reported outcomes.
The true measure of provider performance
in a value driven healthcare
system is benefit to the consumer as
evidenced by the systematic measurement
of treatment outcomes.
